Shanker Dixit, MD, FAAN, attended Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and received his medical degree in 1986. Then, he relocated to the United States where he attended the University of Wisconsin Hospital to complete his neurology residency as well as his clinical neurophysiology and clinical stroke fellowships (1999). While there, Dr. Dixit trained medical students and neurology residents and completed original research on various neurological disease states. In addition, Dr. Dixit received board certification in neurology and clinical neurophysiology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the Clark County Medical Society and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Dixit’s research has been published in various national and international journal. He is nationally recognized as a speaker on epilepsy, headache, and stroke, and has been recognized as a top Doc in Las Vegas for many years.
